On 07/11/2023, a historic day filled with numerous memories unfolded for the B.A.P.S. Pramukh Academy, as an evening assembly was organized in Thirthdham Gondal, for the prominent academy’s aspirants. This divine assembly, graced by the presence of revered Mahantswami Maharaj, marked a significant moment in the history of the academy.
The divine gathering unfolded with a presentation titled “Cultivating Pramukhness @ Pramukh Academy,” drawing parallels between the legendary Arjuna from the Mahabharata and the distinctive ethos of Pramukh Academy.
To introduce the principles and ethos of the Pramukh Academy, the aspirants engaged in a dramatic portrayal of the academy’s symbols (Aksharaderi, Kamal, Pen, Garud) through a solo performance. For instance, Aksharaderi depicted expressing pride in one’s achievements, followed by a detailed introduction to the academy. The dramatic representation allowed aspirants to showcase their reverence for the academy’s values and traditions.
A group discussion titled “Here we are Different” shed light on how the aspirants of Pramukh Academy distinguish themselves. It compared their way of communication on various topics with the public, emphasizing that discussions among the academy’s aspirants extend beyond cricket to encompass subjects like history, economics, society, art and culture, politics, and ethics, integrating insights from English.
Subsequently, a dialogue on Kartavyanisth Karmyogi took place, highlighting the gap in understanding between the officials who refrain from performing their duties and the social responsibility assumed by some to bridge the gap and enlighten the unaware masses.
The program continued with a lecture titled “Mera Desh, Meri Jimmedari,” aiming to raise awareness among the general public about critical issues such as electricity, water, cleanliness, corruption, and others. The impactful style of presentation aimed to enlighten ordinary people about these issues.
The harsh reality of today’s society, with its challenges such as the rush for early marriage and jobs abroad, contrasts with the patient preparation for UPSC exams. The event featured a conversation with Pujya Gnanavijay Swami, discussing the academy’s purpose and the importance of awareness campaigns for societal issues.
The event concluded with students of Pramukh Academy requesting blessings from Guruhari, a traditional Guru-dakshina ceremony, with all aspirants gathering on stage, seeking Guru Hari’s words of wisdom and receiving his blessings. This scene resembled a mythical guru-shishya parampara, leaving an indelible mark on everyone present. The moment was captured with a group photo, creating a special memory.
