Prof. D. P. Agrawal Visit @ BAPS Pramukh Academy 31st July 2025

Renowned educationist and the former Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi

Thursday, July 31, 2025, Former UPSC Chairman D.P. Agrawal paid a surprise visit to BAPS Pramukh Academy, Vadodara, Gujarat. He was received warmly by Pujya Gnanvijay Swami, head of Pramukh Academy coaching institute and mentor for UPSC and GPSC aspirants.

Sir visited every nook and corner of the campus, designed as a one-stop solution for serious aspirants preparing for UPSC or GPSC. Pramukh Academy mentors and staff showed him around.

He started with the UPSC classroom where Delhi-based faculty teach all General Studies subjects in modern smart classrooms. Agrawal was excited to see other parts of the campus after seeing these facilities.

Next he visited the Discussion Room, a unique feature of the campus where students discuss current affairs and other relevant topics.

The Reading Hall, the heart of the institution, impressed Agrawal the most. He saw aspirants studying for hours in a silent environment with modern, flexible chairs and good lighting. The mentors explained the reading facilities, student study routine and how daily mentorship differs from their daily routine.

Then he visited the Library which has all the books and content for UPSC and GPSC exams along with printing machines making it a one-stop solution for aspirants. He was very happy with the micro-level facilities provided by the institution.

After this he visited the Mentor Office where Pramukh Academy mentors explained the student task sheets, tracking sheets and the “Pratidin Pragati Diary”, a daily tracking diary for students. They also explained the “Sampurn” program for college students who want to crack UPSC exam right after graduation. Agrawal was very surprised and interested in this program and called it unique in India and wanted to see how Pramukh Academy applies its methods.He addressed the UPSC Foundation batch and shared his valuable experience as UPSC Chairman. He spoke about his UPSC interview experiences, what to do and what not to do. He also met and guided students who are preparing for UPSC Mains this year.

He was very happy with the institution and its values during his visit.
